Ned Lamont Won! Reward Him.

Against the odds, Lamont came from near obscurity to defeat Lieberman, a three term senate Democrat.  Lamont ran his first statewide campaign with little support from the Democratic establishment, little positive coverage in the press, and one major press endorsement (NYT editorial board.)  And he still won.  

Reward him for running a fantastic race.

  nothing against lamont, but he's got plenty of money of his own and now his has the party solidly behind him. he should be able to ride this out.

  i think our money would be better spent raising the profile of the webb - allen race (among others). even if he loses, a strong run by webb will grab a lot of media attention and boost the nation's emerging feeling that they trust dems more on security issues.

  1. He's going to have plenty of money from the party now (and Lieberman won't, so the difference is doubled)

  2. He's a millionaire anyway and doesn't need it.

  Give to poorer Democrats who are facing tough Republicans.
